Protect™ Silicone Thermal Transfer Insulator Pads
Protect™ 1500FG is an insulator sheet composed of cured silicone rubber with functional additives formulated to deliver a specific set of thermal, physical, and electrical properties. The form and function of Protect™ is born from over 50 years of silicone manufacturing knowledge and over 20 years of experience designing thermal interface materials under the Thermabond® brand and over 23 years of experience designing press pads for pressure distribution and pressure uniformity under first under the Thermavac™ brand and now the Ultrapad® brand.
Protect™ insulators have been developed specifically for LED and Power applications where long-term reliability is a top concern. Protect™ insulators resistant heat, humidity, and shock while conforming to surface topography to maximize contact area at low fastener pressures. Maximizing contact area facilitates even heat transfer to reduce hot spots. Protect™ insulators are electrically insulating to isolate your LED PCB or power transistor from the heat sink. Protect™ insulators are UL listed with a UL94 V-0 flame rating and a 150oC relative thermal index (RTI) for both mechanical and electrical. Additionally, Protect™ insulators are RoHS compliant and halogen-free.
Protect™ 1500FG is a fiberglass reinforced insulator sheet supplied in 7 or 9 mil thicknesses.
