Secure™ Silicone Thermal Transfer Adhesives

Secure™ 1500FG and 1500U are adhesive films composed of uncured silicone rubber with functional additives formulated to deliver a specific set of thermal, physical, and electrical properties. The form and function of Secure™ is born from 60 years of silicone manufacturing knowledge and 20 years of experience formulating silicone adhesive systems under the Thermabond® brand for mission critical, high reliability, extreme environment applications for leading military, defense, and aerospace contractors.

Secure™ adhesives have been developed specifically for LED and Power applications where long-term reliability is a top concern. Secure™ adhesives form chemical bonds with the substrates they are in contact with during cure to produce robust adhesion that is resistant to heat, humidity, and shock. This eliminates the need for mechanical fasteners and concern with screws coming loose, clips loosing clamping force, gap pads taking a compression set, or thermal greases pumping out. Secure™ adhesives are electrically insulating to isolate your LED PCB or power transistor from the heat sink. Secure™ adhesives are UL listed with a UL94 V-0 flame rating and a 150oC relative thermal index (RTI) for both mechanical and electrical. Additionally, Secure™ adhesives are RoHS compliant and halogen-free.

Secure™ 1500U is an unreinforced adhesive film supplied in 7 or 9 mil thicknesses.

Secure™ 1500FG is a fiberglass reinforced adhesive film supplied in 7 or 9 mil thicknesses. The addition of fiberglass reinforcement improves handle-ability of the product during lay-up.
